Природа и функции теломерных транскриптов

Аннотация
Теломера представляет собой сложную и динамичную структуру, функции и состав которой меняются в процессе клеточного цикла и развития. Одним из важных компонентов теломер являются теломерные транскрипты. Регуляция транскрипции и уровень содержания в клетке теломерных РНК тесно связаны с контролем длины теломер, формированием теломерного хроматина, с репликацией теломер и регуляцией транскрипции нетеломерных генов. Эти свойства указывают на важную регуляторную роль теломерных РНК как в защите теломер, так и в передаче сигнала о состоянии теломер клеточным генам. Исследование теломерного транскриптома в раннем развитии у Drosophila выявило новый уровень регуляции генетической стабильности с участием теломерных РНК. Благодаря своей способности взаимодействовать со многими белками и менять локализацию, теломерные транскрипты являются важными участниками теломерного сигналинга, механизмы которого предстоит понять на уровне целого организма.
