Planned for 2026, a special issue of Biochemistry (Moscow) will focus on the interplay between neural signaling and metabolic pathways, and its role in brain function under physiological and pathological conditions.

The special issue will highlight recent advances in biochemistry, neurobiochemistry, neurobiology, fundamental and clinical medicine, and translational research, offering a comprehensive overview of this interdisciplinary field.
